The John Lennon Real Love Projects Comes
to The Bronx, NY

In the winter of 2022, the John Lennon Real Love Project came to Bronx Delta PS 392 in The Bronx, NY.

With program leaders Beth and Scott Bierko, 4th and 5th-grade students wrote new lyrics to John Lennon’s “Real Love.” The new verses are pleas for unity and equality:

I have got the key to your heart  
Please don’t let fights break us apart
Seems like all we really are doing 
Is looking for love 

We need more equality  
So everybody can be free
Seems like all we really are doing 
Is searching for love 

“This amazing program provided an immersive experience in songwriting that left our student inspired and eager to learn,” said Bronx Delta School music teacher, Jamie Longacre. “We are so grateful to have been a part of the John Lennon Real Love Project and thank Beth and Scott Bierko for the impact they have had on our school community."

Theatre Within provides the John Lennon Real Love Project to public elementary schools for free.
